The Goodland Arts Council has so much with which to be thankful! First and foremost, we must mark with aplomb the anniversary that 2018 brings. This October saw 40 years of bring arts and culture to our community! This has been no small feat! Some of you reading this were part of the great effort that grew in the 1970’s to create an arts council, and breath new life into the Carnegie Library Building. To you we offer our most sincere reverence for your forward thinking, generosity and strength of vision.
We also know the hard work didn’t stop there. Season after season you, as a community, have chosen to make the commitment to keep the arts alive. Through your patronage, the Carnegie Arts Center has continued the ever important work of providing all people the opportunity to appreciate the arts.
On behalf of the Goodland Arts Council Board of Directors, thank you. Your financial gifts of support have very immediate, real impact that extends beyond the Arts Center walls. It lifts up students, artists, teachers, everyone from all walks of life in our great community. From public art installations, free community art events, exhibitions, classes, performing arts and K-6th grade art education, the Arts CEnter’s impact can be felt through the generations, and across socio-economic lines.
We strive to make these opportunities affordable and accessible to everyone. That’s where you, our generous supporters, play an important role. Your annual membership and gifts during Match Day guarantee that the Arts Center has a place in the heart of Goodland’s future.
